I just returned my HD660s because it is too close in sound to my HD600 but not as good. The HD660s is technically better especially in the imaging and layering but when I switch to my HD600 I am always so amazed by the tone. The 660s is very close tone wise but something is missing... not as smooth and the timbre is a little off. I will be replacing it with Sundara.

It's a close call between Sony MDR-Z1R or Warwick Acoustics Sonoma M1.

Currently my favourite headphone is the Sennheiser HD 250 Linear 600 ohm but i have a Utopia on the way that might change that.

It indeed will. It did for me. For my tastes, it is by far the best all-around cans I've ever heard. It would be perfect if it had a little more bass punch, but I love it for what it is.

Every headphone blows away the HD600 when it comes to bass.
The HD600 blows away every other headphone in sound quality when adjusted for price.

HD800S - I've had a lot of Senns and they are easily my favorite.
I agree that at this time, my HD800S are my favorite headphones. But, they required the right amp and EQ. But, when you have both, they are really hard to beat, especially in the attributes of sound stage, resolution and clarity.

I've never had to EQ them - but amping is very important. I've found that a nice tube amp takes the edge off and warms them up a bit. :sunglasses:

You should replace it with HD650, HiFiMan is notorious for its build quality.
