What's the most you've spent on one piece of music?

I recently dropped $32 for the SACD version of Depeche Mode's "Violator." I'm glad I did- the album has never sounded better.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I know where I can get the Japanese SACD of "Bitches Brew" for a little over $60. Not easy to justify, but I'll probably pick it up at the end of the month when I get paid.

I paid 52,40€ (including postage from US to Finland) for Bloodbath - Resurrection Through Carnage LP. Not a bad price, considering that they are often sold for around $100 on eBay.

Pearl Jam at the Astoria £220 ($400ish) tout ticket, had to be done though. Also try to make it to 3 weekend festivals a year averaging £130 a go, went to Download this year just to see Alice in Chains (not a metal fan so had no interest in the rest of the line-up).

As for CD's, I spent £25 on a new copy of Black Star a year ago (cheapest I could find it). Apart from that I've brought quite a few expensive box sets but the pice per disc never works out at that much..

About $85 to see Pink Floyd in the Wembley Arena in July 1989 IIRC. Great concert that I will never forget.

I don't think I've ever spent more than $30 on concert tickets... I must be cheap that way.

Anyhows, the most I can remember spending for certain was only $65, for an orange copy of [Naïve] by KMFDM that turned out to be in near-mint condition. Couple months later I found another copy of the same disc for a whopping $8.50 (yeah, decimal's in the right place) at a local used store that was in at least as good of a condition.
