What's Going On With Justin At Headamp?

As long as people keep ordering from SP, Head & Dr Xin, their practices will not change. Stop enabling then. Justin seems more concearned about creating new amps then building the ones for customers who paid.. The last straw was when orders for the Picos were shipping, while others have been waiting for their GS1/Lite for almost a yr.

Yeah when I was investigating going electrostatic I emailed him about a KGSS and never received any replies. A friend of mine has cancelled his KGSS order and gone with Stax's own driver instead.

I never have had contact with Justin, but I remember from some other thread that Justin is more phone person. People in USA could give him a call, others may be held back by rather expensive long distance calling prices.

It seems like he is catering to Pico buyers/owners at the moment. Perhaps this addresses more customers overall than those purchasing the other models?

I hope it's still easy enough to get a GS-X. It's one of the cheaper balanced amps out there.

I can't speak personally for Justin's current work schedule but I'm still waiting for a GS-X that I ordered this past January. Hopefully I will receive it soon -- I've been very patient up this point and still am. However, you may want to contact him and ask about giving you a realistic time frame for getting a GS-X. The frustrating thing is not knowing exactly where your order is in the build queue.

The good news is that you will undoubtedly be happy with your resulting product. As long (and frustrating) as the wait times are, I don't recall a single post maligning the superb build quality of his amps.

I hope you get yours soon.

That may be good news but some of the wait times are just a bit much. There are other manufactures that seem to have difficulty getting products out and after a while I don't see much excuse no matter how good their product is.

I agree, and it is by no means an excuse. Just trying to be more "glass half-full" these days.

Call me a snob, but if I pay for a product, I demand a perfect service for these prices we have to pay.

Luckily I got a fellow Head-Fi'er to build me my next amp. Now it's up to me how nice front panels/case I'm getting
