Hello, I was interesting on buying some headphones that would help me start some dj projects. First of all I'm quite new to this but I've read a few threads about some headphones. Still I was interested on buying Sennheiser HD380 because their kind of cheap and I read a few good things and a few bad things about them so I'm not that determined. I'm listening to a lot of dnb, dub, hip hop, sometimes rock music, but most of all dnb. I need a pair of headphones that would fit this kind of music and would appreciate the advice of some more experienced people. The budget would be around 80£ so I'm not going crazy yet on buying some very super high-end headphones.

Thanks!

I've found some on the internet for 100£+shipping but that kind of goes over my budget, I found the HD380 at 65£....would it worth the effort of waiting a little longer or would I be satisfied with something cheaper like the ones I've said in the title?? Also I've seen on some other threads saying that HD-25 might also be worthy of some attention considered to be the king of dj headphones.

Don't you need closed headphones for DJ'ing? The HD 555's are fully open and don't isolate AT ALL.
I have both the HD 380 and HD 555 and for sheer sound quality, i prefer the HD 555.

The HD 380 has more bass impact (prolly because it closed) but the 555's have more accurate bass and is just smoother overall.

2xed the 750Dj for DJing lol

general consensus is is that the 380 pro is basically the same as the HD595, which in turn is almost the same as the hd555, with some slight modding of the innards of the 555, you can get the same sound as the 595 im told

the hd380 pros is not well rated or at all popular there, it must be for good reason.

well I can't find the 750 dj anywhere in my country for sale at any shop so if I'd buy them I'd have to do that from an outsite site...the cheapest I could find where at 100£ + shipping, while the HD380 and HD555 are 65£...

Do you want a closed or open design? The SR60 and HD 380 are two totally different phones.

Comfort wise it's no contest, the HD 380 are by far more comfortable because they are a lot bigger and rest over the ears whereas the Grado's rest on your ears.

It also depends on what sound signature you prefer, Grado's have a more forward and agressive sound, the Senns are more laid back and warm sounding.
