It was a poor blackmail attempt @ Thorsen for a free bee .. God forbid the girls see me... The wife says naked I look like a frog if you pick it up by its arms and shake it about... Even I don't want to see. .
Note: just a joke with IFI no... blackmail pictures. Don't want to get Headfi banned.
I was filmed by Bill Bailey on a nature program until he realised I had shorts on......

Threw them an email a couple of weeks ago asking for notification of when they get them in so I can get one asap. Hopefully if what you say is right I will be able to get one next week. Just in time for the arrival of my Gumby/Mjo2 stack :D

Today is the global launch:

iEMatch
Kiss goodbye to the hiss

Southport, UK – 15th September 2016

With great power, comes great hiss

Many headphones, and in particular IEMs, are high-sensitivity in nature. This, coupled with the relative high-power of modern Smartphones, (dedicated headphone amplifiers are even more powerful), means that listening enjoyment is heavily compromised as ‘loudness/hiss’ becomes excessive. This makes listening fatigue an all too common issue.

The solution: Source > iEMatch > Headphones

By inserting the iEMatch® in between the Smartphone/Source and the Headphones, the result is sound quality that has greater warmth, resolution and dynamic contrast.
  • Reduced background noise/hiss
  • Improved dynamic range
  • Optimised volume control

Features/Technologies
  1. Ultra (-24dB)/High (-12dB) sensitivity adjustment
  2. TRRS-Balanced® connection for Single-Ended and Balanced operation
  3. 6N Copper/Silver matrix signal cabling with FINAL 6063-T5 aluminium-magnesium alloy shell
  4. Gold-plated circuit board with premium components (eg MELF resistors)
  5. Gold-plated 3.5mm male/female connectors
  6. Input impedance                 > 16 Ohm
  7. Output impedance              > 2.5 Ohms (High-sensitivity)        > 1 Ohm (Ultra-sensitivity)

The retail price of the iEMatch® is US$49 (ex-tax) or €59 (incl VAT).

So boneofimba can you please PM or email: press@ifi-audio.com

We spent some time going back over all entries, and none were close to being correct.

Here is the answer to a good question rec'd from a Head-Fi'er that is worth sharing:

The iEMatch adjust levels while making sure the source impedance seen by the headphone is low and the load seen by the amplifier is within normal design parameters.

It does not alter (materially) impedances or affect the frequency response of the attached headphones.

It is not like some adapters sold that simply place a resistor in series with the headphone and often degrade sound quality.
