what is your portable rig/system?

i know theres alot of good sounding full-size & bulky 'phones which needs an amp. but realisticly, ppl dont carry a portable amp and a Senn. 600 + a cd player to go to work.school....even commuting (subway)

i want to know whats ur portable rig/

Altoids just refers to the metal tin that houses the amp. Its a DIY product. In the picture of my little portable rig they've used a Penguin tin.. Penguin Caffeinated Mints. They wipe the floor with Altoids sorry-as$ excuse for a.. oh sorry, thats not me, thats the caffeine talking.

I'm really proud of my super portable rig though... in a case the size of a CD Player, I fit in a minidisc player, an extra battery, Etymotics 4P, 5 minidiscs, LCD backlit remote, and a Sony microphone. Its a beauty! I think I'll post pics of it soon. It is truly my super portable heaven! I take it with me anytime I don't want to carry my traveller setup.

An old Philips CD player that sounds better than the newer panasonics. And my Senn MX500. The batteries get drain really fast and it has no antishock to speak of, but the sound is amazing for being a portable.
