What is the different between beyerdynamic DT 770M and DT 770Pro?

I have a pair of beyerdynamic DT 48e and DT 880.
What is the preformance of the DT 770M?
Is it better than DT 48e,DT 150,DT 250 and DT 880?

The headphone salesman told me that beyredynamic studio headphone DT 770M is better than Grado RS-1, Sony R-10 and Stax omega because beyredynamic studio headphone is natural sound ?
Is it true?

Can DT 770M headphone beat DT 880, Grado RS-1, Sony R-10 and Stax omega?

No, the 770 does not beat those headphones. I have the 770-80, it's great for bassheads, i'll likely sell mine before too long. I prefer the A900s, which are more ballanced. The 770-80 has overstrong bass, recessed mids, ok highs, but they're a bit veiled for me. If i'd not had the A900s first they might seem ok though, and they're a huge step up from the MDR-V700s for bassheads.

The way I identify the 770s is by their ohm rating.

Don't trust anything that salesperson said, that's for sure.

Just to throw a spanner in the works, the current range of 770 headphones is;
DT770 (250ohm)
DT770pro (250ohm)
DT770pro (80ohm)
DT770M (80ohm)
And you may still be able to find 600ohm versions of the DT770pro as well.

I thought the M version had 30-something dB of isolation (compared to 18dB for the other versions), was 600-ohms, and came with an in-line volume control.

My m version is 80 ohms. The volume control was hated at first, but it actually has its uses for unamped computer headphone outs (only can use computer volume otherwise). (*btw, I find that the bass on these really fills in out from a head-out on a $25 altec lansing pc speaker as opposed to my mkIII tube amp! What!?)

Wow, that's weird. I'm anxiously awaiting my JMT built PIMETA so I can try my 770/80s with it. I've had them about a week, and I've burned them in for about a hundred-something hours, and the bass out of my Denon stereo receiver is actually pretty lackluster... my older HD590s have much more noticable kick to 'em.

I thought the same thing with my hd600! Though through the headphone jack of the pc speakers the dt770 has considerably more punch and beef

It's just a matter of finding an amp that can give the same bass, but with better fidelity

Perhaps they shine with low powered headphone jacks...?

So whats the difference between the DT 770 M  and the DT 770 PRO`s    they both come in 80 ohms so i need to know what the difference`s cause i am going to buy a pair really soon now i am a major masshead that listen to rap and hip hop and i am looking for a pair of headphones with crazy amounts of bass now do the DT 770 PRO`s have more bass then the DT 770 M , that all i need to know also when i read up on the DT 770 PRO`s have "Bass reflex" technology for improved bass response  and when i read up on the
DT 770 M they do not say anything about having the Bass reflex technology and also the DT 770 PRO has a Frequency response of
... 5 - 35,000 Hz and the DT 770 M Has a Frequency response... 5 - 30,000 Hz , so what do you guys think , do you think they have the same amount of bass or the Pros have more bass please let me know thanks

I have a pair of the 80 ohm DT 770Ms. They have better isolation than any other headphones I've tried, but sound quality isn't great if you're looking for accuracy. They have a bump in the high bass range and a dip in the high mids, so they sound boomy and muffled. I tried EQing to make them sound as flat and uncoloured as the DT 250s I use as a reference in the recording studio, but nothing I did could make them sound as clear as the DT 250s. They are great for monitoring backing tracks while standing in front of a cranked up Marshall stack --  just don't use them for making mix decisions.
