Your kidding me right?

Listen to that album, try and get past the lyrics, and concentrate on the production. It is regarded by most in the rock circles as the best production on any album of that genre ( rock in general ) MUTT LANGE

Thier guitar tones are unreal, but thats what you get when you plug into 4k Matchless Class A amps and a nice hollowbody gibson 335.

I'm glad you posted omedon. I believe it was you who suggested some of Mapleshade's recording to me. THANKS!

At first glance it wasn't exactly my type of catalog, but I was wrong. I found some great stuff there, and the recordings are unbelievable.
One of my favorites: A la Carte Brass & Percussion

On the classical side of the tracks, there are a lot of records that can compete for "best recorded." For a long time, I would reply (to similar queries) that Gilbert Kaplan's 2003 recording of Mahler's 2nd on DGG was the best. However, I might say that the in-house record done of Tilson Thomas' Mahler 2 might be the most natural recording I own (Hunt Lieberson's fantastic and now-bittersweet Urlicht aside). It just sounds right, but so does the Antoni Wit recording of Mahler's 8th on Naxos.

Therefore, I will merely pick one of my demonstration discs at random and say that the best-recorded CD I have heard is Thielemann's 2006 Parsifal from Vienna.

I hope the 'rock circles' know the bands name is Def Leppard, not Dep Lepard. Sorry, i couldn't resist.

Artist - Radical Face
Album - Ghost

Both SQ and pure acoustical bliss. It flatters even the absolute WORST speakers...
