I watched that whole video waiting for Clapton to "fire up," but he never did. He just let Knopfler handle all of the leads. Nothing wrong with that, but I kept expecting Clapton to trade off on the leads at some point.  He never did though, he just kept to a rhythm guitar role throughout.

Deep Purple MKII was one of the best bands of all time.
