Usually struggle a bit with his singing but the new album is a great, warm and majestic experience which I seemed to be in the mood for today...

Harry Hypolite “Louisiana Country Boy”
Got these back in May... Brother to Brother Let Your Mind Be Free (1976) - a good blend of funk, jazz, and R&B. C.J. & Co Devil's Gun (1977) - Disco/Soul...
Both of these are albums I never thought I'd see on CD, especially that Brother to Brother which I absolutely love - Visions, Leavin' Me. Or C.J. & Co. Devils Gun, We Got Our Own Thing, both big hits in the 70s.
They were finally released to CD by a South Korean company called Big Pink, though falsely listed as Japanese Paper Sleeved releases on Dusty Groove's site, despite the fact they are not, even though they mimic the Japanese releases in every way even down to the Obi strip, despite everything being in English...
All that said, extremely happy to finally have these on CD and that the sound quality is pretty good, that they weren't expensive, and why I declined the refund offer. And that the albums are excellent (if you're into "disco"). Still... NOT Japanese releases.

Love Black Market, Gibraltar, Elegant People on that album. Listening to Elegant People now BTW1988
BTW, Music on Vinyl just released a limited vinyl album of this... Weather Report Black Market - Flaming Coloured Vinyl 180 Gram UK Vinyl LP. Don't have a turntable so I won't be getting it, but if I did, I probably would. Currently looking for an audiophile CD edition of Black Market is how I ran across the vinyl.
Bitches Brew - Pharaoh's Dance is just magical
