I have mixed feelings about the film. However, I liked that it was essentially an "autobiography."
I had almost forgotten about this song..."The sun machine is comin' down and we're gonna have a party...a-huh-huh.."

I loved the ending with Bowie's goodbye...

Having gone on a ten year sabbatical from recording, Miles
Davis returns with fresh ideas on this 1981/2022 remastered gem.

'bout '73 a good Army brother turned his white as Irish can be, audio friend onto such socially enlightening albums
amongst many others as Mayfield's , Superfly - Thanx Bob Lackey, my friend.

The Chieftains - Irish Heartbeat.png
Most of the songs are traditional Irish, but this one was written by Van.

Irish weddings are the most joyous occasions ... as the music supports.

Candy Dulfer on the alto saxophone.

Van Morrison - Down the Road.png

Albums from 1988, 1991 and 2002. I've previously heard Van's album with
The Chieftains (very good); the others are new for me. "Irish Heartbeat" is,
of course, real Irish music with the pipes, etc. of Paddy's great band. Turns
out that "Hymns to the Silence" is too much gospel for my liking, and kind
of dark. "Down the Road" is better ... jazzier and up-beat. FYI, friends. One
thing I admire about Van is he always brings a ton of musicians to his albums -
horns, strings, various keys ... that makes for a full, rich sound.
