The Pretenders 1979 debut album

I bought this brilliant album on vinyl when it was released, and also have a copy on CD.
Last night I discovered that there is a 'Hi Res' version of the album on Qobuz.
Much to my surprise, it sounds fantastic- better ( to my ears) than my ripped CD:beyersmile:
There are so many great tracks on the album.
The Wait is just one:

My God, I'm getting seriously old.

Thanks for this slice of 80s nostalgia @Simple Man

Just watched the video of The Glamorous Life. I had never seen it before! Brilliant

Sheila E is a seriously good drummer and a very interesting lady.
I really enjoyed this piece she did in a Stewart Copeland BBC documentary on drumming:

Progressive bluegrass by the mandolin & fiddle master from Bowling Green, KY.
Considered the founder of the New Grass genre, opposing Bill Monroe, here is
Sammy's quote: "... if Bill was the father of bluegrass then I could be the mother
because Monroe would say: 'here comes that mother now!"
