Despite being a life-long fan of Van Morrison (going back to when he was the front-man of Them) neither I (nor my wife, who may be an even bigger fan) had ever heard this long over-looked minor-masterpiece from 1974.

Like Astral Weeks, Veedon Fleece offers up what seems like stream-of-consciousness from Van, and the backing band is fully in the moment.

I can't believe I have never heard this recording previously. Overlooked far too long. I dig it.
