Needing to take my mind off things I've been listening to Dataline's music almost obsessively this week – this album in particular. Minimal ambient techno like this is a great alternative to ambient and drone that I've found myself drawn to lately.

Not a headphone album by any sense of the word.

Various artists (ELECTROCUTICA) - Crystalloid

How did I forget how absolutely amazing this album is?

Just got this CD along with some new IEMs. Wow, very impressed. Love the layered and thick guitar noise. It's a little bit shoe gaze and I really like it. Very cool album, hard to believe it came out in 1993.

The 24 Bit Remaster of Siamese Dream and the 24 Bit Deluxe Edition of Gish (1991) are awesome. I'd thoroughly recommend them. Watching them Live in the early 90's was like Jimi Hendrix had formed a band. Also, they were insanely loud live, This video and the one that follows shows how loud they are
