Hmmmm, have to say I'm a bit conflicted about this one. On the one hand, one of my absolute fave 90s bands taking on an iconic 80s anthem is very intriguing, and I *really* want to like this.
However, a cover only really succeeds when the artist making the cover is so convincing, and takes full ownership of the original in a way that you could be fooled into thinking it's their own song. Unfortunately, I don't think that's the case here and this falls a little flat imho.
Garbage sampling The Clash? Now that was inspired...
Yeah, I think I know what you mean - it stayed very authentic to the original and while I was listening to it I was thinking 'If I want to hear 'Cities In Dust', I've got the S&B's version readily at hand, I just think it's cool that somebody covered that. Might be diff in the context of the album, or just one more version of that song to come up in a mix tape! I'd like to hear a cover of that song by Sisters of Mercy....

Never even heard of this one, but I like the cast....

I'm confused. Why does the pic show mammoth but the description states Trailkill. I have that track in my library and a few playlists. They kill, but am I unaware of Thrailkill and Mammoth being the same band? Also, when they quiet down some, they really have a scale the summit sound.
