More Mingus
Usually prefer original album releases, not compilations but this compilation has - for me - the best version of "Gunslinging Bird" which I've been listening to for over 50 years from a 7" vinyl EP called "Mingus Dynasty" but the version on the EP is different to the one on the LP of the same name, cover picture is different too. EP version is much faster with more piano.

I really loved the first 3 or 4 Aerosmith albums, I always felt it was their best stuff.

I saw them at the Harrisburg Farm Show Arena in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on the "Get Your Wings" tour. Now get this, Queen was the opening act. They were touring on their first album. Aerosmith followed Queen. "Train Kept A-Rollin'" was one of my great musical moments. The headliner was Mott The Hoople. I believe they were touring the "All The Young Dudes" album. I don't have the ticket, but I bet it didn't cost more than $12.50. Ah yes, "the good ole days!"I really loved the first 3 or 4 Aerosmith albums, I always felt it was their best stuff.
