They sure are..Mark is killer player...I would love to see these guys live, but they never make it to the USA that I know of.
There are some nice albums with his brother Stevie also...Nimmo Brothers
Glad you like them!
Yes, you're right about Stevie Nimmo. I think he has recently rejoined the band!
I don't think they have been to US unfortunately.
They did a tour in Europe last year with Bonamassa and Peter Frampton...
I saw them last year at a small venue in London and hope to see them in Cambridge later this year.
Free were a huge influence on Alan Nimmo and it shows in his playing.
I called the lead singer and guitarist 'Mark' by mistake. It was a typo- his name is Alan Nimmo.
My favourite King King track is 'Rush Hour' from the album Reaching for the Light.

Totally fresh, new sound seriously jazz and 70s soul infected, when improvisation reveals a genuine/authentic talent....
Bewitched, Harmonious, musical
Makes you wish each new record brings such pleasant surprises as this one...
From the folkotronica of Pram to the modern age electroacoustic minimalism of David John Sheppard (Snowpalms) it's all new and very welcomed.......

Speaking of David John Sheppard.....
This has become already a Modern Classic...
Evoking the spirit of Steve Reich's and Moondog's modern works....
Just another brilliant record from the highly acclaimed Village Green records..
This guy is pure genius.....
Marimbas anyone???

Very Happy Listenings.... :scream_cat: :thinking::kissing_cat::astonished:

'The Waves' from The Waterboys' remastered 2004 version of This is the Sea.

Edit: Mike Scott's Lyrics

When I walk barefoot on the soil in the morning
I can feel the heartbeat of the earth
Under my feet

And when I climb high among the hills, schooled in wonder
I can feel the hurtling and the moving of the soul of the world
As it speaks to me

And when I fall into illusion's arms, even unto darkness
Still I feel the power of the unquenchable light
As it holds me

And when I die, I'm going back over, I'm going back over
In the boxcar of my soul to the high far summerlands
Where I began
Where I began

Don't you know what's wrong with me?
I'm seeing things I don't want to see.
Sniffing things that ain't no good for me.
I'm going down fast, won't you say a prayer for me?

[Chorus:]
It's got to get better in a little while.
It's got to get better in a little while.
It's got to get better in a little while.
It's got to get better in a little while.

The sun's got to shine on my guitar someday.

What a great track, which wasn't on the original Layla album or the 20th anniversary edition which I own.
I had never heard this before!
I think it's on the 40th anniversary edition of Layla, and also the Derek and Dominos live album
Thanks for the tip.
