What Are You Listening To Right Now?

The sound quality may not be the best but there's magic here. One of only 4 recordings of Duane playing Blue Sky live. Both Duane and Dickey have long lingering solos that are very unique without ever straying too far from the original theme. And Berry lays down the most fitting melody underneath it all.

I was at a local coffee shop to see a small jazz three piece. Herbie Hancock and his wife were sitting next to us. Did not know it was him and we all started talking etc. He invited my wife and I out to get some food after. Wasn't until someone came up to him later that night to meet him that I figured who he was. Super nice guy. Rockit was an awesome video/song in the early days of MTV.
That is a great story. Thanks for sharing it with us. Herbie is a tremendous pianist.

Jethro Tull - Live at Montreux Disc 1.jpg
Great music / well-produced live recording!

Steely Dan - The Royal Scam (WLP).jpg
What can I say? Y'all know the music.
My favorite songs are Don't Take Me Alive and Fire in the Hole.
I shared Fire in the Hole with my nephew. He liked it...
His life had boiled over, once before.
These are re-mastered versions = 24/96.

I saw the Bad Brains the first time they came to Los Angeles in 1982 at Devonshire Downs. It was to this day the best show I have ever seen and I have seen hundreds of bands from the 70's till now. The energy of HR and the band was way over the top. This is one of my favorite Bad Brains albums.

Here is a video of them the same year I saw them when they played at CBGB's.
