Sylvan Esso - Sylvan Esso

Such a wonderful first effort from this duo. Amelia Meath's (of Mountain Man) indie vocals over the electropop beats of Nick Sanborn (of Megafaun) may be one of the best substitutes for The Postal Service if we never hear from them again.

Nice... I have that album from the 70s. I really, really need to get off my butt and setup a turntable - I have all these old LPs in boxes, waiting to be reborn.

After 3 years of thinking about it I finally decided to buy a turntable and I'm really glad I did! I'm having to repurchase all the vinyl I had as a kid but I'm fine with that. The sound isn't as perfect as digital but that's the idea. I find the whole experience of playing/listening to vinyl to be very nice. I posted about it on my blog earlier in the week: http://marksinderson.com/analog-music-and-why-vinyl-records-and-photography-go-together/

Just added to my Amazon CD wishlist (I have to pause on one-click buy action; I have to catch up on the CDs I haven't even listened to, yet, but your description made this a no-brainer).

Thanks!
