Stone Roses remastered 2002 compilation. Give justice to SR songs. Original recording was crap, both albums and EP.

-To call the original recordings crap may be a bit too harsh, but I, too prefer the remasters. The Stone Roses is definitely in my top 5 desert island album list...

Isaac Schankler - Analogue: A Hate Story

Listening to Isaac Shankler's work on the Analogue: A Hate Story soundtrack has inspired me to explore extended chords beyond major 7th in 1st or 3rd inversion, both of which I love. Taking A minor 9th, dropping the 5th and voicing it so that all the notes get clustered together can for example sound pretty sweet in the right setting. Simply moving to B minor seventh in 2nd inversion for example is quite nice.

Also, this.

The next step.

Definitely one of my favorite albums from this year. Listening to it makes me think back to summer with warmth.

Two of the best alt-rock albums of this millennium...

Small Steps, Heavy Hooves by Dear and the Headlights

Tournament of Hearts by Constantines

The saxophone of Wayne sorter and Herbie  Hancock's piano playing make for a great listen.

Boris rules. Just picked up the new CD-Noise. Nice varied listen. More rock than metal methinks. Great release. Now onto the new YOB release.

...it appears I am on an eighties roll - after this, I intend to put on The Smiths' 'The Queen is Dead' and perhaps also The The's 'Soul Mining'...
