  Yeah I have both the MoFi vinyl and SACD preordered but I was interested to hear the mono mix since I've heard good things about it, and since my local record store happened to have one copy left, I thought why not. It wasn't even that pricy, so definitely a good purchase.


Same here! Well I'll join the reigns and pick one up tonight then.

I've been interested in buying After the Disco, but none of the singles I've heard seem as strong as the tracks on the first album. What do you think?

If you've heard any music by Gotye besides Somebody That I Used To Know, you probably have an idea of how capable Wally De Backer is at blending and defying genres. This album, which was released a full six years before Making Mirrors became a chart-topper in 2012, shows my favorite side of his work. It's a bit of lounge jazz, a bit of rock, a bit of soul, a bit of hip hop, and a bit of heartfelt pop. It's truly a varied album, and well worth the listen.
