Relaxing with some light (electro)pop. So soothing… No need to think about anything.

After this I'll probably listen to some more of Super Hexagon's OST on repeat. A truly addictive soundtrack to one of the most addictive games I've played this year.

While its not typical Opeth, I still like it a lot. The recording style is also quite different, but I also like it for that reason as well. There is actually quite a bit goin on and there is actually a lot of layering, and there is also some moments where there is some great soundstage depth. A lot of quiet parts with sounds in the distance. Overall its quite a treat on headphones like the Q701.

While I still enjoyed it Heritage was a bit of a letdown for me...

Right now I'm listening to Weightless by Animals As Leaders, face-melting 8 string virtuoso instrumental progressive metal/ jazz. Tosin Abasi is my hero

Yes they are. Ive never been a huge fan of growling vocals, but I make an exception for Opeth. I like all thier albums.

yeah Give AAL  a try, another band with growling vocals that really deserves to be listened is Between the Buried and Me.in a review I heard them called the "American Opeth" but I don't see it as such a fair comparison, I love both in their own ways, though BTBAM can do the Heavy/soft transitions as good as Opeth, but obviously Opeth did it 20 years before BTBAM. Animals as Leaders - Weightless

It's obvious the band members are all talented, but the music just isn't doing it for me. It just simply isn't musical to me. There is no melody, seems more like random noise to me. I like complex stuff, and this is definitely complex, but it all just blends together and just isn't doing anything for me.
