Hi everyone. I have finally ordered the famous Sennheiser HD 600 headphones. I need an amp recommendation to get the best out of them.

I will be using them with my desktop computer. Here is the short list of my existing audio equipment:

Asus Xonar DX sound card (doesn't have a headphone amp)
Logitech Z-5500 computer speakers (poor headphone amp)

The Emmeline amps seem to be really popular. How would one of those work with my sound card? Which Emmeline amp would go best with the HD 600s?

In terms of price:

The Black Bird SR-71A
The Hornet
P-51 Mustang

Thanks in advance! Also sorry if this isn't the correct sub forum.

Did you have a budget?

Bottlehead Crack + Speedball. You'll need a DAC also.

I would like to keep it under $500. How does the ASUS Xonar Essence ST + H6 interface stack up against the amps I listed above?

I would say to keep your Xonar DX and hook the Z-5500 speakers to it using 3 analog cables.
(I'm currently using a Essence STX myself)
But I'm looking at getting the Audio-GD NFB 15.32 DAC/Amp, $275-$295.
You could get the Audio-GD NFB-15.32 and plug it into the Xonar DX's S/PDIF optical jack.
The Xonar DX and Essence ST (& STX) use the same CMI8788 audio processor.
