I stand corrected as it relates to Dave's preference, but I'll have to go with Mike's DAC preference every time. 😄

I went Bosendorfer shopping last weekend. I didn't buy anything, but I do want eventually to get a Bosendorfer Imperial. How to get a 9'6" piano into a 9' elevator cab with a 7'6" door is a geometric question I don't quite feel prepared to answer, but I'd prefer to avoid the crane if at all possible.

The living room would be ruined, but the sound would be sublime.
In Douglas Adam's Dirk Gently book there is a similar issue, resulting in the sofa stuck in the staircase:

Other than alerting you to a fictional person with a similar problem, this won't help you at all. Well, I liked the books.

I am getting a bit of nervosa about never having owned the OG Yggdrasil. Am I missing something by having gotten LIM?
Hard to say. The OG in my big rig it’s DAC endgame, so I never bothered trying others.

People whose ears I trust and tried both agree LIM is a little warmer and that’s about it.

I believe that in a post made by Jason after MIB was formally announced, he restated that LIM was Dave and Mike's favorite. Since it was an MIB-related post, I can only assume this was also including MIB. It's been quite a few posts since then and I've been out of town and checking periodically, so it's possible I mis-understood, but I'm like 90+% sure it was stated by Jason post-MIB as well.
Gotta quote the post, Bro. :smirk_cat:

Nah. I'm feeling rather saucy. The search function works equally as well for others. Besides, force a man to fish... 😄

What are the best speakers, now that Jim Salk is closing up shop?
Philharmonic. At least some of the speakers Jim sold were designed by Philharmonic. The performance/$ ratio is almost infinite :)

The workmanship of Salk will be hard to replicate.

We need more context, because there is no "best" speaker, only personal preference. A speaker choice also depends on your specific room and associated components. Are you looking for stand mount or floor standing, and what are room dimensions and budget?
