An amazing coffee, the rare Kona Maragogype (Elephant Bean). The flavor is deep, like a Kenyan, but incredibly smooth with a slightly sweet finish. Worth it when you find it.

That is a stunning photo, thanks for sharing! May I ask where that is?
North Sonoma coast, California. Sunset cliff walk with my wife, reminding us a bit of the West-facing Atlantic coast where we grew up in Portugal.

Earlier this year I was away from my main espresso setup for several weeks, so I got one of those Flair manual espresso machines and a manual burr grinder. It took a few days to get everything right, but eventually I had very consistent, smooth, just right short espresso shots. Indeed, the shot quality is arguably better than with the 10x more expensive espresso machine and grinder at home. But while the manual process was perfect for vacation time and weekends, it takes way too long when I'm working.

I think I will be giving up espresso until I need to go back into the office. It’s so hard to do correctly that I would like to hire a barista to give me a lesson.
