You want to check well ahead as the wildfires may possibly be impacting the Newhall area.I'm looking forward to coming to LA next weekend. Any word on whether the Schiitr is open Sunday the 18th or Black Friday? I'd love to stop by and check out Modi 3 and company - I have an old Colin Davis record of the Clock symphony that I'd love to hear.
Um, the Rye fire was almost a year ago (which makes sense, given the URL) so that’s not current. In addition, that fire was more threatening to the Schiit corporate/manufacturing facility, not Newhall where the Schiitr is...Here's the interactive map of the CA fires this morning ... shows the Rye fire is threatening the Newhall area but less a threat where the Schiitr is located in Santa Clarita.

I use either Cal Fire’s site for info (http://www.calfire.ca.gov/general/firemaps) or the LA NBC affiliate for fire info (https://www.nbclosangeles.com/) when I direct out-of-the-area folks for info. But nothing’s better than a good look out the door.
Thus far, we’re ok here in the Santa Clarita area. May it stay that way...
Not feelin’ the love, BR... lolLet us know if we all need to fly to LA to build fire breaks around the local critical infrastructure: Schiitr, Schiit factory, Jason's house, or Mike's House. I'll bring my entrenching tool.

Oh and your house too, minor oversight. Not feelin’ the love, BR... lol
Oh and your house too, minor oversight.
Edit: we can be a little more liberal with our designation of critical infrax
You got it. Will do my best to update daily or as schtuff changes... And no worries.Yep, yep and yep. Sorry about the mis-leading information, my friends.
In this case, it could have created a dangerous situation. Not cool.
Thanks for pointing out my mistake ... I need to be more careful about my sources and what I post.
We all need to be responsible for the accuracy of what we post on open forums.
A valuable lesson learned.
Edit --- so in this situation, it would be helpful for the CA residents to post accurate information to help us all.
Thx in advance. RCB
