Some of the really short pieces by Webern are really interesting to watch too. There's one that's about 30 seconds long, and it's like a super desiccated or freeze dried idea of Mahler or some other late Romantic composer, and some instruments play only one note in the whole piece. The thing is that the music is carried from instrument to instrument, and there are very few notes, so playing that one note at the right time is really, really important!

The Absolute Sound Yggy review came out. Really different from Stereophile.

Good thing you updated from obsolete technology before sending them a review unit!

I only see one from last may that also includes Rag. Is this not yet available online?

Haven't got it in the mailbox yet. Can't wait. But the Yggy is too big for my space so putting the funds together for a Gumby. Or can you shrink it up a bit

It has been another good week for the MP – Dave, Ivana, and myself had a get-together last week to turn over the manually adjusting Gadget code to Dave. Since then, he has been slowly but surely porting the code over from Intel to Analog Devices DSP. This should take 2-3 weeks. Today, Ivana called me – she now finally has the auto-detect and adjust finished and running. This is the last of the code for us to figure out overhead and memory requirements to get a dedicated MP running. This will be the basic model.
Once we have that sorted out, we will have a basis to estimate a true time to production, target costs, and product form factor. I am hoping for a Magni-Modi sized box, but we shall see. Onward and upward!

Magni/Modi form factor would severely limit I/O, even if your "O" were limited to coaxial and AES/EBU. Theoretically, AES/EBU in and out would provide the highest fidelity, no?

True, but the difference is not huge and has to be taken in context of making this as affordable as possible.

Are the MP, the Gadget and Eitr one and the same?
