I was wondering when Westone would do something like that. I expected something much earlier considering JH and UE have a custom priced there as well. I wonder how it will sound however.

Heh, only on headfi would a $400 IEM be considered as being aimed for "those of us on a budget."

Agreed I would like to see it compared with the JH5 and UE4 clash of the Pee Wees.

I don't know why but the UE4 never appealed to me. The JH5 did and these could be tempting. For some reason I'm such a sucker for anything that looks like a good deal.

According to Westone the AC2's sound signature falls between the UM2 and ES2.

and, having heard the prototype...i can tell you it blows the UE4's out of the water....no contest.
