I read your comparison just now between the W4's and ex1000's, and wanted to ask you; which IEM would you recommend for strictly trance or EDM? Also, with regards to the same questions, where do the CK10 or CK100 stand in comparison?

honestly, EDM sounds really good on the w3.

Does anyone own a UM3X and W4 and have any opinions? Sorry if this has been answered before.

There's actually a 'UM3X vs Westone 4' thread recently and this was my comment:

"I think the Westone 4s have more clarity and details which make the UM3Xs sound muddy and bass heavier in comparison, W4s are definitely more balanced sounding. The only problem with W4s is the non-replaceable cable, which makes me extra careful whenever I'm using them, especially when I'm outdoor. Would I sell both my W3s and UM3Xs and get the W4s? I certainly would." :D

Same hear. Shure although I had to get 2 replacements for both my 530's cable issues, Shure has been responsive, with on the spot replacements, well past the year

Mine works Great with Complys, Shure Olives and triflange, and Triflange Modded (small end cut, along with some stock) I Like the Comply;s the best, hands down for these babies.

I got rid of the sibilance only with the tri-flanges. But on the other hand, they're not very comfortable.

Though the CK10 has a slight avantage here, I am perfectly content with the fit with my Comply's. Simply terrific, and as mentioned before, makes little difference to the soundstage when shifting back and forth.

Thank you my friend. I had them in for nearly 3 hours now (ideally, I listen for about 10 hours a day, though some days that's almost entirely on my 900 PRO's), and I can honestly say they've replaced my CK10's. The CK10's are just so FORWARD, in your face, while the W4 is deep and centered. Clarity is excellent with both, yet the soundstage is just so rich with the W4 I don't think I could possible turn back!
