Thanks but I can't see from the image if this is the new type of mount. They look like the old, crappy ones that crack and make noises.

just received a few sets of the new pads and I can confirm that they have the new mounting rings.

If you have the leathers before the foam pads came with them, you can buy Creatology Foam Sheets from Michaels craft stores (they sell black), and cutting out two rings of foam for each earpad does the trick. It's only like $1 or so for the foam, but it does take a little finagling to get them in there and flattened out.

I've ended up with the leather pads from the FischerAudio FA-003. Ultimate comfort and paired with the HD650 headband inlay these heavy phoned almost disapear on head now
