Bilavideo, as far as I can tell, the Q701 is just a new color scheme. It may also be a safety device since motorists will take notice of the vivid color.

Oh man.. How much longer can they milk the 701.. This is getting very silly & sad.. AKG knows how to make great headphones..  Try another Dynamic/Electr hybrid PLEASE! If the Q701 is the answer to the E10/ps1000/HD800/T1, AKG is in trouble.. Who is running AKG marketing? Why won't they come out with a true successor to the K1000.. I didn't mention the 701 cause, seriously, it NEVER replaced the K1000 as AKG's flagship headphone, no matter what they say.. I actually like the Green Color.. My favorite color is green & blue..

Look at the bright side guys... The K701s and K702s are going to be cheaper now as they're not the "flagship models". So if you want to upgrade from an entry level HP to something a bit better, you can just go buy a k702 for an affordable price. It would also be nice if AKG actually made these better than the K's. But I guess we'll have to wait.
