Hint for the Day...................If you need to cut foam rubber to fit you headphones, something like a Grado Pizza box, Use an electric carving knife. It makes a clean cut without distorting the foam.

The portable headphone I use most frequently. It's compact, sturdy and discreet and the most efficient (sensitive) of all my on-ear portables. Midbass needs to be tamed by 3-4 dbs, and 10 kHz lifted a couple of dBs. It's a bit slow and polite, but always musical. The half open K420 sounds much better than its bigger brother K450 (closed and closed-in with bloated bass) which I also own but seldom use. Bit of a bargain, too: bought it second hand for 14 bucks, soldered a $1 plug on (boy it's a nuisance with those enamelled copper strands!) and added some heat shrink wrap. Altogether $17 for the package.
