Now if only Steph Pockets would release something new, I need another fix. Nice to see a couple( or all ) of her cd's are done at Victor Studios, I'd have to look at them here to see which
( it is Bob Marley's daughter BTW )

probably posted this before ,I forget.
What's cool about the first one is that painting is the actual disc cover.

Helllo, I am new to Hip-Hop/Rap and was wondering if I could get some recommendations. Few things that I have liked so far are:

1. Kendrick Lamar - Mostly everything.
2. A Tribe Called Quest - Listened to the latest one and liked it very much
3. Wiz Khalifa
4. Bobby Shmurda
5. Childish Gambino
6. Early Snoop Dogg
7. Early Eminem (but dont like him that much)
8. Lauryn Hill - Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
9. Chance the Rapper - Sounds so happy happy.
10. Outkast (Havent listened much)
Some others which I am planning to listen to

1. Common - Black America Again.
2. Roots
3. Schoolboy Q
4. Notorious BIG and NAS and 2PAC ( Not sure I am much of a Gangsta Person).
5. Kid Cudi

Didn't like Jay Z, Kate Tempest(sounds very monotonous), Kanye West,

Like Rap Primarily, with emphasis on lyrics and weird music as well.

I have been a metalhead all my life, so have very limited knowledge of this subject

Sounds like you've listened to mostly mainstream stuff so far there @wrathzombie! TBH the only thing I'd really rate on your list is Tribe, and that would be the earlier albums like Low End Theory. Why not just go back through this thread? There's been tons of good stuff posted over the years...

I am doing that, but a short list of recommendation would be helpful as I look through all the pages. And I thought I know only mainstream and that why I decided I should explore more. Also, just like the metal thread I found a Hip-Hop thread :)
