I am doing that, but a short list of recommendation would be helpful as I look through all the pages. And I thought I know only mainstream and that why I decided I should explore more. Also, just like the metal thread I found a Hip-Hop thread :)

Yeah, it's cool that there's a dedicated thread - just a shame it's been so dead for most of this year. It doesn't get anything like the traffic of the Metal thread, which seems to be updated almost every day from what I've seen. I'll PM you some reccos anyway.

Wait let me get into Hip-Hop completely and then I will keep posting :)

Hey everyone, coming from the metal thread thanks to @wrathzombie :-D

Not listening to a lot of hiphop or the likes, mostly old stuff like early snoop dogg, Xcibit and cypress hill for example ^^

But i really dig the new Snoop album Coolaid, brings back the feeling of his early days, love the G-Funk :p

I'm with the Bucket man on The Impossible Kid - best hip hop album I heard this year. Also a shout out to Dälek's Asphalt For Eden. Didn't hear much else to write home about. I kind of assumed the new Tribe would be one of those lame reunion efforts tbh, a pale shadow of former glories, so didn't even bother checking it but if you two both rate it, I'll have to give it a spin.

I grew up listening to rappers like Puff Daddy, DMX, The LOX and Eminem.

My favorite rapper might be Mega Ran. He gives away lots of his music too.
