Why not? The driver configuration is very similar, and we all know VSONIC is really serious when it comes to tune their products (that's actually why they take so long to release them).

You're right - there is no direct correlation, though the cable on the GR07 MK1 was arguably botched. Considering the fact that they are planning on jumping into a higher price point, it would behoove them to build a website to create the impression that they have their **** together. An example of a Chinese company that does is Fiio - they are building their brand very intelligently, have a very good website, and keep their target market informed as evidenced by the tremendous buzz over in the X3 thread.
