GR07 Classic: Mild V-shape, 6k peak, slightly subdued upper treble
GR07 Bass: Same as Classic with less upper treble
GR07X: Flattest of all the VSonics with a upper treble boost
GR09: Sub-bass boost, laid back treble, warmest of the lot
GR07AE (not my impressions): Similar to GR09 with no sub-bass boost, like a warm GR07X if anything.

Have loved my GR07 basses, and the extra bass is subtle, colors it a bit more fun than the Classic.
My GR07's are at EOL after about 7 recables, looking to replace soon (Detachable for sure this time...).

GR07AE is most interesting, especially at its price-point. Odd that they're targeting the warm signature with GR09, idk if i'd want that in an IEM, I have planars for that.

Holy heck, 7 recables? May i know if you did them yourself? Is there a guide to doing this? Was the sound signature different in any way after recabling?

Yeah, one channel would always cut out after some time.
I paid the same guy to do the repairs each time, didn't do it myself.
Sound signature was slightly different after recabling, but silber wire was always used, so they may have even improved.

I own both and the XE800 definitely sounds different from the GR07. The GR07 sounds way better than the XE800.

The left side on my pair of gr07s have stopped working and I bought them from some chinese amazon dealer that I am unable to contact anymore because they don't seem to exist anymore. And I think my warranty from vsonic is over as well. Should I try to contact vsonic? Or should I try to fix the left side myself? The right side still works.

I use Spiral Dots. I didn't like the fit with Spinfits.

Perhaps you might buy an IT01 IEM. You get a excellent sound and a very, very nice cable for $100. I'm using the IT01's cable with my GR07BE right now.
