Ha - always a mistake to forgot your

Seriously though, nobody knows if the gr07's will just stop working one day. I personally wouldn't worry about it. If it ever happens, we'll all just have to create a class action suit against vsonic or something lol.

LOL I doubt anyone should worry about the diaphragms frying up. AS long as you don't live in the desert you should be fine. People perspire and the sweat evaporates, there is air humidity and stuff like that to keep the diaphragms from drying up

. And electronics nowadays aren't meant to last for decades, so they break or develop some sort of malfunction sooner or later no matter which manufacturer made them and how much they cost. Of course, I'm not saying that if you buy a gr07 it will fail in a year or so but as with any other electronic device there is a chance sth like that might happen.

That's when you check on the new hip devices that came out during that time and are better and you upgrade and buy one of them. It's like when buying a phone - how many people actually use their old non-smart phones with small screens and buttons even if their old phones are still perfectly working?

For those who upgrade from GR07BE, what do they usually upgrade to ( with the same type of sound signature of GR07BE)? I think I'm infected with headfititis.

That's the problem,GR07 signature is rather unquie in itself, not only the sound quality but the price to performance ratio. I've not heard anything as a direct upgrade with the same sound signature. Probably if I had to say Westone 4 (minus some bass quantity ) would be my choice, or ASG-2 (add mid bass). If anyone can answer your question thoroughly it's probably ijokerl.

It's a little man face with hands and eyebrows. I have no idea what he represents though.

People steal him from my profile page and signature then copy/paste him around the forums.  ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

Personally, I found the tpeos h200's to be a very satisfying upgrade.

I don't know what that guys supposed to speak but his "hands" are made out of Georgian (one in the Caucasus) letters. here, I've got more (hope they won't come up as rectangles on your screens though): ესეც უცნაური დამწერლობა რომელიც ორი ათას წელს ითვლის - noe, ain't it pretty? :D

I agree on the upgrade part only the signature and tonality leans slightly different, I agree H-200 is balanced to some extent, but anyone that likes warmth as zarmorin mentioned in the H-100 thread may not be pleased. I remember Zarmorin mentioning he wasn't a fan of H-100's tonality a few days ago, which leans towards H-200.  I can name numerous upgrades but none with the same signature and natural dynamic tone GR07's bio-cellulose membrane driver put out. Actually one comes to mind and that would be Sony EX1000. I would consider that fairly close to GR07 or 'similar'

I think I've asked |Joker| this question before. You can see his response here

Also i think this is on the DUNU-1000 thread. it is mentioned somewhere that GR07< H-200 < DN-1000. (i really can't find the link for this claim though, so take it with a pinch of salt)

I see this forummer - 'miow' stating that Yamaha EPH-100 is much better than GR07 here:

I'm not really a fan of H-100. It has little mids and the treble is too much for me. The sub-bass extension of the H-100 though is better than my yet-to-be fully burned GR07BE.
