A decent headphone out is not just about the output impedance.

i wish to state that it will be good enough if they get the same thing as clip+

if clip+ can make a whole good player in 30$,,,vivo can certainly do what u are saying.lets hope it did something good

The Vivo xplay 3s is now available for preorder from Tmall in China with release in March, right on time to compete with the dx90 and x5

If I can replace 3 devices (note2+nexus7+DAP) with only one, this phone can be very intersting for me !

With a bit of chance VIPER4Android will be ported on this mobile and the dream can be true.
Imagine a good DAC with a quality AMP and the best audio framework available on a mobile device

I'm waiting on review and the possibility for ordering from EU.

Thanks for the link !

Other units with that amp chip are below 1 ohm so likely fine and the clip + is nothing special. Got one and a couple fuzes as well. Great for what they are but.... Just because my Smart car might get 40mpg, doesn't mean I need my Mercedes to. 2 ohms would be fine if it just sounded great.

there;s another smartphone (Chinese) that has the same DAC and a different Amplifier:

TCL Idol X + (basically the same as alcatel)  this one is around 350$ and I'm getting it :D

here's the link:

SACD support 24bit/192KHz playback, ES9018 Hi-Fi decoder, Maxim9720 headphone amplifier

Doesn't matter who makes it - if you're looking for a phone to play hi-res content, then it's absurd to choose one that lacks memory expansion, because 32gb (or even 64gb) isn't enough room for a decent library of hi-res content.

Don't get me wrong - I think they're lovely devices, with full HD displays, etc., but for audiophile hi-res playbac purposes, which is, after all, what we're discussing in this thread - no memory expansion is ridiculous

Fair enough!

What interests me more, about this, is the fact that some of these Chinese smartphone makers are getting ever-closer to audiophile DAP territory, and that could mean exciting things in the near future, as the two specialities meet, and maybe have hi-tech audiophile DAP offspring!
