I know the VE lab is closed until the 6th, so I haven't communicated with them yet, but does anyone know if they can provide the post order confirmation and instruction documents in English? I received their PDF file which also includes a privacy statement I think I am supposed to sign, but I can't read the next step instruction docs. Thanks!

Yep... send the signed declaration of consent back to VE.

1) The next step is the walk to the audiologist for the impressions.
2) send them securely to "Vision Ears, Luxemburger Str. 51,50674 Cologne - Germany
3} your impressions will be checked and the production will be scheduled
4) you'll receive a mail including the invoice and the estimated delivery date
5) you pay
6) you wait :)

For the impressions it's important to keep the jaw in a relaxed position (closed mouth, no bite block)
Material : otoform AK or Egger A/II (other materials not accepted)

Not sure if i should return these to get them to remove the tissue like thing inside the shell. My ocd’s kicking up. I am sure surprised their QA missed this. @Vision Ears do you accept such?

Look for the white.

Hi Steamboiled,

Sorry to hear that you might have an issue with your ELYSIUM. From the pictures I honestly cannot see too much. During production it can happen that there are minor shadows or similar in the shell, which have no effect on the functionality of the In-Ear. But if you want us to check the earphones, you can send them to us, of course. We will have a look and talk to you after.

If you do so, please send a sheet along with it with your full contact data and a short description o the problem. If you bought it from one of our resellers, please contact them and they will guide you through the process.

All the best,

Johannes

Thanks for the response. I sent back the item to my reseller, i think they should have sent VE a request as well. I modified the pic a bit.

Hi guys, does anyone know what the lead time for the VE8?

Hi there,

Our normal lead time is around 2-3 weeks from the moment when we received your order and proper ear impressions which are good to work with. As we closed the lab over Christmas and New Year, there might be a short additional delay for some single orders. But we will be back at the normal 2-3 weeks in a short time.

Hope that helps!

All the best from Cologne,

Johannes

Hi Johannes, yes, thanks, that helps!

I also sent you an e-mail last Tuesday but VE was closed until the 6th, I don’t have a reply yet but would appreciate if you could. :D

Hi,

please send me a pm with your real name and I can check for the e-mail. At the moment I am working through all e-mails that dropped in the last 2 weeks.

All the best,

Johannes

Got the notification that I'm receiving the 3.2, 4.2, 6XC and 8 demos tomorrow! Impressions coming in hot

I've received the demos...

My first comment, is that @Vision Ears NEEDS to start making universal IEMs. I am yet to try any universal with a fit this good, they're just bloody exceptional

My second impression is... I kinda need a VE8 :(

There are worse problem to have ;)
Maybe a second Elysium was overkill :P

And yes the universals fit perfectly indeed!

Not at all! They're both getting tons of listening time :D

I wouldn't say the 8 and the Elysium are so radically different though.. . the latter is a bit brighter, which I like, a slightly more textured midrange but a narrower (though deeper soundstage)

It's mostly the width of the 8 that's drawing me to it

How does the detail retrieval compare?

A bit too early to tell, but feels comparable.. The 8 might be getting a bit more instrumental detail while the Ely is king of vocals
