Just received today Kagaribi cable which to my understanding is 4 wires instead of 8, and it sounds terrific, quite interesting i would say, the sound signature is sort of improved it is less harsh in some moments in songs and bass is fuller (which is surprising) overall mids are more straightforward and the soundstage is bigger

Guys, I have a question, what would are the good options (not best and most expensive) for the FW10k as a source?
I’m currently in the midst of realizing that BT and portability + tidal is the main requirement,
Thank you

Also if there are some fancy Bluetooth dacs ?
(I have only one, though rare one - centrance blue dac) but want to try something else
Is ifi worth a shot?
Thank You for the advice about Hiby!

The only thing I’ve ever used is the Walkman NW-WM1A because of the 4.4mm port. I listen to most of my music via Bluetooth on my iPhone.

IMO the ifi audio hip dac is worth a try. It will definitely work out cheaper than a standalone player.

I tried the hip dac v2 with 10k’s and WOW! This thing even made sennhs 650s sound quite amazing..
It gives tons of power, worked well with android and laptop, the bass boost function is well implemented and good bump in subbass,
Overall the sound became well, good powered, now want to try the gryphon!

Tried the FW10k with PWaudio Legend 2 cable - whoa! It is an entry level cable, but very musical!
Tried fw with top Eletech cable and it finally gave the fw10k a great bass boost and smoother freq, very nice. But at 18 hundreds -not worth it.
Still am sure that 10ks are one of the best in ears on the market.

I've been fortunate to be able to hear and spend some time with this wonderful IEM lately.

Listened to the M9 with fw10k and didn’t find the sound to be to my liking.
But dap by itself is very well made!

What didn't you like about it? I had it in mid gain and it was rather nice. I doI prefer these through the SR25ii though actually.

I can't believe these comparatively obscure (at least as far as the western market is concerned) IEMs aren't more well known & more highly touted. Admittedly with their bass response they are not true all rounders...at least that's what I keep telling myself. In terms of things like string timbre, wind instruments, horns, acoustic instruments in general really, vocals, a truly life-like sense of body, space and air...I'm tempted to say these are without parallel in my experience. I can't help but think the wooden diaphragm & shell aren't in some way behind this. The signature is intimate, yet highly nuanced and brimming with vitality. Add all of this up with a hefty dose of single DD coherence & goodness and you're in for a truly captivating experience if you can let your brain adjust to the highly unique but impeccable tuning these offer. The single mot surprising audio experience of my 2022 so far.
