Victor HA-FW10000: 10th Anniversary model

I'm sorry but I never had that experience. Balanced, unbalanced, on DAP, on DAC, stock cable, other cables... they never sounded "bass light" to me, ever. I agree that, for my taste, they sound their best with a warmer source but "bass light" is something I wouldn't say about these.

Have you listened to the FXZ-200 and FW01 prior to listening to the FW10000?

Okay, bass lighter than your Xelento and Rai Penta. Happy?

The Xelento are v-shaped... The FW10K have a very balanced sound signature.

What does that have to do with bass quantity?

This is FW10000 next to other popular TOTL. Happy?

"Quantity" of bass does not tell the whole story though. Phones differ by how the bass "feels" along with the rest of the sound. This is probably subjective, but for me the FW10K's bass consistently creates a sort of round background in which the other sounds spread and rest, in contrast with other phones (that may be heard as "bass heavy") where the bass kind of expands like a bubble from the phones into your head, covering the other sounds. IMO the former is a more natural role for bass.

Holy lord these are sibilant. WhyTF, these are like $2k?! Resolution isn't impressive either. I really don't get why these are so expensive?

I'm so done with iems. lol This is not excusable. Why do I got to complain about $2k iems?

After getting to test these, The Sony IER-Z1r’s are better in every way. Sorry.

Same but the other way around, ended up selling my IER-Z1Rs to keep these instead.
If I were to choose, I'd go with Z1R although I don't find both worth the asking cost, and I feel this stronger with JVC.

Z1R at least has impressive bass presentation and sound stage. Z1R is more resolving although I find both weak on that front.

I find JVC FDX1 to have better technical chhops than JVC 10k. Which is one reason JVC messed up big time with pricing. Stupid pricing causes bad perpection of the brand IMO.
