Victor HA-FW10000: 10th Anniversary model

I was confused but then realized you just placed the comma in the wrong place there. The Brise cable is 70,000 yen, which is the most expensive option I've seen by far. I was looking into Nobunaga Labs' gold-lined silver cable which I've seen several Japanese users recommend, and that one is "only" 30,000 yen. Many good options are also available below 20,000. So yeah, the Brise is definitely on the high price end.
I think the Nobunaga Labs' cable is not very high quality.

HA-FW01 = HA-FW001 in China

HA-FW1500 = HA-FW1800 in China

If I weren't mistaken, they just have to come up with "weird" model numbers for fun or something.

I wonder why this is the case. I picked up the HA-FW1800 and the product says it's made in Japan. Perhaps there's just a difference between export products and domestic products within Victor/JVC?

Wish I did just a smidge more research to see if I could pick up the Victor version in Hong Kong (turns out I can)! I've never had experienced with the other JVC earphones, I really enjoy the sound of the 1800. It's just what I'm looking for!

The cohesiveness of these, has been on a whole different level lately. Main vocals take center stage, while the voices of backup singers are very distinct. So are instruments and micro detail. Highs soar above everything. Everything just sounds stupid good. Every song hits just right.

I’m definitely gonna purchase a backup copy of these next year, if they don’t release a headphone version.

What other genres of music do you listen to? Does it perform equally as well in other genres?

IMO it is, and it was one of the great disappointments when I first heard it. The FW10000 is a departure from the FW01 when it comes to bass, which itself was a departure from the FX1100. Without a balanced connection and serious break-in time, they’ll never quite sound “right”.

The end result is a deep, separated bass that plays along with the out-of-head presentation. They come very close to sounding perfect.

I'm sorry but I never had that experience. Balanced, unbalanced, on DAP, on DAC, stock cable, other cables... they never sounded "bass light" to me, ever. I agree that, for my taste, they sound their best with a warmer source but "bass light" is something I wouldn't say about these.
