Victor HA-FW10000: 10th Anniversary model

Denon 9200
Really..? Wasn't expecting that.

Haven't listened to a full size that sounds quite like the FW10k, but I find it and the MDR-Z1R to be equally pleasing as their own type of phones.
I got the Klipsch HP-3, the Z1R would be pretty more of the same but in closed back form.

FW10K owners, what are the full sized cans you've heard that sound closest to the FW10K?

Maybe the Ha-mx100z/v?🤔
D7200/9200?
I’m eager to try out victor ha-wm90 once the virus make way for my journey to japan...umm maybe next year...

The MX100 is a studio monitor, so I doubt it's very similar. The SW01 may be more similar. I'd love to listen to the WM90 as well some day.

BTW, I see you have the Technics as your user avatar. I like them too. I think they are a nice compliment to the FW10k.

I may be able to get the SW01 for around 400€.

Today I went to try OC Frozen and OC Caelus with QDC Fusion and LPGT. (I didn't bring my FW10000 to try) I think OC Frozen + TCGP mmcx + Furutech Carbon Plug might be the one of the good match for FW10000. Sweet vocal with texture, precise vocal/instruments positioning, fast response bass.

Looking forward your impression on FW10k with OC Frozen. :)

I love the tz700. I got rid of several pairs of iems and invested in cables for tz700 n fw10k. These are the better DD iems that I have came across with, way better than those “hyped” unrealistically costly DD’s I have tried.
I got a pair of pure BA, DD/BA hybrid and these two babies left, still in search for another pair with different sound sig. then I’m pretty much done with iems for quite a while. Cans are way better lol

Finally got my FW10k here. Still wowed even it's not burn-in yet. I'm not regret selling my k812 for it.
I've listened to so many iems: xelento, ie800s, k3003, t9ie etc, but no one sounds like fw10k.

By the way, if anyone here ever demoed or owned the Dita Dream xls? I think it is a interesting iem, and kind of wanna add it to my collections, too. :)

Nice! Also, that looks like a demo unit with the JVC logo as opposed to the Victor logo in the finalized version.
Is it from an eBay listing from a while ago? I recall it listed it as having only about 60 hours on it, though it looked much more worn out than that and a demo unit probably got much more use than that. But at least that means you can consider it burnt in for sure. Also it being a demo unit with the JVC logo makes it a sort of rare collectible.

Most FW10K out there are with JVC logo. Only Japanese local version (and of cos you'd get them from online vendors selling Japanese domestic imports) is with Victor logo.

Had no idea! I only knew the Japanese version I own and assumed it was the same worldwide. Very interesting, I wonder if this difference is due to legal or branding reasons. The FW10K was supposed to celebrate a kind of revival of the Victor brand in this market.

Yes, mine have "JVC" printed as well and were bought brand new directly from JVC Malaysia.

You’ll eventually hear what makes their sound “special“ among earphones. They will sound even more lovely with a balanced cable and at least 200mW of power. Not the biggest and angriest bass, but very deep. Excellent realism, depth, detail, and “out-of-head” soundstage.

Even with the unbalanced stock cable, they’ll sound “spooky” soon enough.

Yes, it's indeed an awesome earphone, and it's my end game for iems. It's so well crafted and beautiful.

Edited: I'd like to sell my jvc logo ad buy the dog logo one. If someone wants to grab a opened box condition jvc fw10k, please pm me. If no one is buy it, I may end up keeping it. Thanks you guys!
