OT but what BB do you have? Got a Passport a couple months ago...LOVE it! Had the Q10 before and this is an awesome phone.

I am not saying you or anyone can't or shouldn't make comparison. I am just pointing out that the repetition of the whole  'E100 > Zen' argument by a few that seems to have became the dominant discussion of this thread which is not about the E100 - and it is, at least in my eyes, getting pretty close to trolling. I know some of you really love your E100 (and I personally quite like it too), but there is a fine point when a person needs to express his/her love on a dedicated thread instead of having to repeat it on another thread that dedicated to another brand / headphone. Will you think you will be happy seeing a person going to E100 thread and keep repeating that how Zen, or any headphone for that matter, is 1000 times better than E100 and therefore it is worth its price? I mean, I am not against anyone expressing his/her opinion, but do it on a reasonable way - say it loud and say it clearly, but hopefully not keep repeating of the same thing over and over again.
 

Kind of agree with this, I want to read about the VE Zen when I come to this thread not the E100. If you guys want to talk about the E100, you are more than welcome to use the High end earbud thread or the earbud roundup thread where it belongs.

Hey you're the only other BB user I have come across here I have a BlackBerry Z30 at the moment. I came from a Z10 and a Bold 9900 before. All in span of 2 years. I was a diehard apple user and had an iPhone 4 for a couple of years.
 
Its a good phone and its even better now because I figured out that I can can get USB audio out to my Fiio e17 so I have high quality audio when am away from laptop
 

 

 
How are you finding the passport? I am due for an upgrade this year so am considering an iPhone or one of the android phones potentially.

Well, everything about it is pretty awesome. The 1:1 1440x1440 4.5inch screen is gorgeous. The touch sensitive keyboard is mad useful, especially the shortcuts. Build quality is the best I've ever seen in a phone.
 
Stereo speakers, while still "phone-ish" rock loud.
 
So yeah, that and the OS speed with the Snapdragon 801 and 3GB RAM...just a killer phone. I love mine. Android support is awesome too, much better than my Q10.
 
I could go on and on. I certainly have no desire for anything else. Sold my Note 4 for it haha! #NOREGRETS

Comparisons should be made though. Helps people researching know that these aren't some end all be all of earbuds. I know what I hear and the E100 is, in my opinion, a better bud then the Zen. Now sure this may be just how I hear them but that's besides the point. If this is supposed to just be a circle jerk for the Zen then that's not very productive and all it's ends up being is just the same repetitive mess over and over again. Is that what you'd prefer? Just everyone saying the Zen is the best earbud ever no comparison everyone else that says otherwise is wrong full stop?

I think this is an appreciation thread like the many other appreciation threads for other products on this forum. So that is why I think others are unhappy. If the post isn't about appreciation of VE it is not relevant. So if you want to talk about high end earbuds and comparisons there is ClieOS's thread earbud roundup or my thread, high-end earbuds.

This thread doesn't need opinions and differing views. I'm greatly sorry. I have brought great shame!

Hey come on we are all friends here after all. You have heard the Zens so you are qualified to make comparisons on them. The issue is when people who have not heard it, is making unfair and negative remarks about it and blindly putting it down or praising others. Everyone is welcome to post of course and a diverse range of opinions is important to have, as we are all customers here and its our hard earned money on the line.
 
At the same time, again not referring to you, but couple other posters who have not heard the Zens yet are saying how they are not worth the price or that they are over priced and people should only be buying cheaper buds for on the go. Now is that fair to people who might come to this thread for fair opinions on a prospective product? How is that providing helpful info for people? 
 
You have had as much time with it as anyone else on the tour so your review is more than welcome. It will definitely help people get an idea of how the buds are. The decorum and behaviours of a few posters is what rubbed everyone, including myself, the wrong way. 
 
But hey, its a hobby at the end of the day and no need to get into the thick of it because of this. We should just all agree to disagree and not get this wonderful thread locked. Seen too many of my favourite threads locked lately

Well the same thing could all be turned around though. You talk about people looking for opinions but all they see are false opinions from people that haven't heard them. What about yours though where you say the Zen is "objectively" better in every way compared to the E100? That's wrong and misleading to people who might be doing their own research or may hear them differently then you, like myself. Or to shoot down people like @Expansion who have genuine interest in the cost of a product like this, to which I agree with. 
 
Threads like this should be about discussion for the product with differing views and opinions. Not just for people to constantly orgasm over a single product while shutting others completely out. I mean, to me the Zen is overpriced for what you're getting. Not just sound wise but build wise as well. Now are you going to tell me I'm wrong about that or would you tell me that it's just my opinion and that you have your own? Because I only see the former going on here which is where I see a problem. Again, especially for those that are trying to make informed purchasing decisions. It's like trying to decide on Ford or Chevy but sticking only the Chevy forums.

I feel that it's OK and appropriate to make comparisons here and call people out when they make extraordinary claims about products. You see? If you think the Zen is the best thing since sliced bread then cool...but don't state that like it's a fact just because you feel it is so. That's not being fair or honest to people looking for information. Different strokes for different folks, not different strokes then you're wrong and trolling.

That I keep going on about the E100 while everyone else does the same with the Zen. Kind of hypocritical. If you like the Zen so much then make an appreciation thread and go crazy on them there. I'm here to discuss them in a thread about VE.
 
Either way, try and stay humble and a little more open minded with your opinions instead of 100% one way. I love the E100 and think it sounds better than the Zen in every way. But I realize that it's my opinion and that I know I'm largely unique in how I hear them apparently. That's why I don't say that the E100 is unquestionably the best ever and that they're objectively better. You see?

I am pretty sure that I implicitIy implied in my impression that to ME it is objectively better. I don't see why you should take that so personally? I get that you like your baldoors but you should be open to others not thinking its not as good. Takes two to tango friend
