V-MODA Shield Design Discussion

Yeah. I just wonder how I should do it. The hanzi are important since they mean something to me (I can read chinese, though the one on the left is a Kanji ), so I wouldnt want to remove them.

Just wondering how I should do it so it looks good. I do not have much PS skills, so dont really know how I can improve it.

Post here what images u use and try if i can edit them

What color is the engraving on a midnight blue shield? When I send them a custom image, is there a particular color the image should be for it to work? (e.g. black and white image as opposed to a colorful image).

It would be always white.. But i think they can do grayscale image now.. Im not sure if it only works on a black shield tho.

Thanks for your reply. The gray scaling seems perfect for the image I attached below on the right. I am thinking of getting the following image engraved on a pair of midnight blue shields. I was wondering what everybody thinks about which design I should go for (solid black vs. gray shade).
 
Also, does anybody know if the gray shade image will get engraved to look like it does in the pic while taking on a midnight blue background? I am a worried it won't engrave the way it looks in the image.

i think if you use midnight blue with grayscale logo it wont be a grayscale it would be a lighter shade of blue prolly..

Are those the original pictures or did you edit them?
Just curious, your ai appears to be missing a stroke up on the top part 愛 ? Cus the kanji for ai is written the same as in Chinese..

I edited them. The chinese character actually is easier than the Kanji. It doesnt have the "heart" radical inside it, but it looks more boring then

I think it would fit better with the first one. I still would like to have the "ai"/love and "yu"/rain characters somehow on it. Not sure how to do it though

Oh you mean the simplified Chinese character, I learned traditional Chinese thus the characters are like kanji. And I just realized that that picture is from Bad Apple!

I sent you the PSD file. It has both shields, there are separate layers for each side. Just send that through with your order.

Thanks for the reply. The reason i thought it might have been one custom shield was because when i downloaded the file and opened it, it only showed the first custom shield. So all i have to do is just send the file with my order to get the same shields on both sides as yours.

Hey guys i was looking to get advice and suggestions with my custom shield. I sent these to customs@vmoda and it already got accepted. FYI I will be having matte black base and am planning to use brushed black metal on the shields but also considering matte black. Thanks in advance!
