Thanks, I will try Ubuntu since it is using a newer kernel than Mint but I'll probably wait until the 24.04 LTS release.

I'm using easy to drive earphones, max volume on the dc04 pro is like 1/3 the volume of my PC built-in headphone jack, almost inaudible actually.
Try setting the volume control on your dc04 using pactl
This should fix your volume level issues on Linux

Any of you folks tried the EPZ TP20 and TP30 dongle? Balanced ports seem to have quite a fair bit of juice.
