Thanks, I will try Ubuntu since it is using a newer kernel than Mint but I'll probably wait until the 24.04 LTS release.

I'm using easy to drive earphones, max volume on the dc04 pro is like 1/3 the volume of my PC built-in headphone jack, almost inaudible actually.

Try setting the volume control on your dc04 using pactl
This should fix your volume level issues on Linux

I'm using Shangling Ua1 plus how to use system wide like normal audio jack to type c converter for watching movies in VLC player in OnePlus 8T .....in PC we can select Dac in Audio settings for VLC but can't access in Android
