On the one hand I could say that both are similar due to being very natural sounding with good timbre and never sounding harsh or too forced in their playback. But in the other they’ve got quite different presentations: Yuki has a very dynamic, bold sound, with maybe a touch more detail and nuance in the individual instruments - possibly because of the dual DAC rather than single. But Yuki also uses noticeably more battery. I’d rate it as one of the better dongles I’ve owned, but you pay for it with the power draw unfortunately.I have been meaning to ask you how the chronos and Yuki compare. Sorry if I already did. They both have CL chipsets and seem to implement them well. I have a DC04 Pro and i like it.

thank you but how does the CDA M1P sound ? someone reported the bass as "not controlled"Using my IEC-711 clone microphone and a WITRN U2 USB power meter, I measured the power consumption of the CDA-M1P connected to my Windows PC with the system volume set to 75/100. For the test, I used the CDA-M1P to play a -10 dBV 1 kHz test tone from REW through the Moondrop S8. This sound level achieved an SPL of roughly 94 dB.
This is essentially a third as powerful as the Moondrop Dawn Pro in terms of output while consuming twice as much power to reach the same output.
and also, for the filters and gain, are they saved or reset everytime the device boots ?

@superuser1 looks like products i'm looking for at least for dimensions, Hiby FC3 and the other one?
Have you compared them with Questyle M12 and Shanling UA1 plus?

Does anyone anywhere that has detailed measurements of the Fiio KA5, kind of like how ASR does it? I can see the SINAD, but also curious about jitter and IMD. Just want to know if it objectively provides clean output.

I don't think there are enough reviews or impressions of the s9 Pro, didn't it just come out?

It seems that a lot of these Cirrus based dongles (such as the DC04 Pro) perform well, whereas the Hidizs is ESS based, where the implementation of the DAC can make a large difference in the performance of the end product. At least that was the case with older ESS dac chips. Of course all DACs are dependent on the implementation of the overall package, but in particular with ESS dac chips, engineers not taking great care with designing the overall package would often end up with a product prone to intermodulation distortion.
So yes, best to wait for more detailed reviews, preferably ones backed up with actual measurements, not just subjective impressions which IMO are kinda worthless as far as reviews go.

The Hidizs S9 Pro is a model that is in the market for a few years now.I don't think there are enough reviews or impressions of the s9 Pro, didn't it just come out?
The Hidizs S9 Pro Plus is the new one with new appearance and slightly different tuning.

After watching Andy's #donglemadness review on the S9 Pro, I'd still buy DC04 Pro.

Which DAC chip is better the CS43131 or the ES9281?
Which DAC chip is better the CS43131 or the ES9281?
The DAC chip is secondary to implementation/tuning and the rest of the circuitry. I have heard smooth cirrus chips and edgy ones. Same as for ESS chips and AK chips.
