USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

Using my IEC-711 clone microphone and a WITRN U2 USB power meter, I measured the power consumption of the CDA-M1P connected to my Windows PC with the system volume set to 75/100. For the test, I used the CDA-M1P to play a -10 dBV 1 kHz test tone from REW through the Moondrop S8. This sound level achieved an SPL of roughly 94 dB.

This is essentially a third as powerful as the Moondrop Dawn Pro in terms of output while consuming twice as much power to reach the same output.
How do you like Colorfly CDA-M1P soundwise?

Looking for an ultra portable dongle for my iphone 12 pro max, so for me it's important dimensions. weight and power consumption.
I liked a lot Questyle M12 and i still like my RU6 but i want something more potable than Cayin to keep in my pocket.
O paper i selected DC03 pro and UA1+, wich other dongle should i consider with similar apple dongle tuning?

I'm not too familiar with Apple dongle tuning, but the Violectric Chronos gets my vote for weight, dimensions and power consumption. It uses the least power of the dongles I've tested (Questyle M12, M15, Shanling UA3, UA5, iBasso DC04Pro, A&K HC2 and HC3, and Aune Yuki). Chronos comes it at 320 mW versus 431-580 for the others in my testing set-up. It's also one of the smallest; here's some of my current gear for comparison:

Chronos Looks power demanding as DC03 pro, thank you I explore it.
Ho is the tuning compare to M12 and UA3?

I found the UA3 to have elements of the AKM "Velvet sound" approach: full-bodied, slightly lush. M12 had great attack and very good transients, a bit of a mid-bass bump in my experience. Chronos is quite straightforward in its delivery: sounds natural, has enough note weight and a good sense of space (for a dongle). There's enough bass when called for but it's generally not emphasized. A little (slight) touch of sweetness to some instruments. In all I find it a great all-rounder that always seems to match whatever I throw at it.

I have been meaning to ask you how the chronos and Yuki compare. Sorry if I already did. They both have CL chipsets and seem to implement them well. I have a DC04 Pro and i like it.

Just got the DC04 Pro. So apparently the app only works on Android (not any other platform), and you can't store any user settings on the device (e.g. DAC filter, power mode, etc.). That seems like an odd design oversight on Ibasso's part.

It's the big downside of DC04 Pro, the ability to store the configuration in itself.

Is there anything just like it that does offer that feature?
