Is there any sound quality upgrade that happened after the update?
i had black version of DC04 with Stock firmware but already sold it and now im using Silver DC04 with newest firmware but i forgot the difference 😜

every dac using CS43131 has phase shift problem, luckily iBasso already fixed it with 2 newest firmware 💖

hi guys.

i m looking for a dongle to be mostly used on mac and iphone
From my understanding reading this topic i would have

Hidisz S8 or Sonata HD Pro : + for the Hidisz build quality but same sound Cirrus DAC and both with native lightning cable
Hiby FC3 : need to buy extra lightning cable and use ESS Dac
Shanling UP with dac ESS and full combo cables included
Ibasso DC 03 and DC04 ... need extra apple adapter ... :frowning2:
am i missing better choices ?

my goal is to use it with a neutral headphone (yet to buy) like beyerdynamic DT770 Pro to play flac to up 24/192, no dsd
dual dac would so nice, but i do not any :s

Many thx for your help

I've had the Ztella for a while but the connector is getting a bit wonky. Not the fault of the Ztella----it's getting tons of use. Any recommendations for an improvement in a 3.5mm dongle? I think that the Ztella sounds nice--but technology improves so quickly!

Hi, I'm looking for a DAC/Amp to drive my Samsung S20 FE. Looking at something in budget scene. Sonata HD Pro is one but I'm looking for something with Balanced out if there's something available. UA2 is one option and will cost me round about same as Sonata HD Pro as in my country it's retailing at almost $65-70. I already own a BTR5 which can be used as a DAC, but I'm looking for something little subtle and portable. Any leads and help will be appreciated. TIA.

For the phase diagram you have to compare two signals. Which signals were compared?
Was it the input versus the output?

it's clear enough that is output...

Yes, but against what is it plotted. Without knowing that the graph is meaningless.
If it would be input versus output, and there was a delay of 5 micro seconds between input and output, this would be exactly what you would see.
To measure the phase, you would need to measure the phase of all frequencies from the input, next measure the phase of all the frequencies on the output. Then you can compare those two.
Where would you get the input signal from a closed digital usb-c dongle?

It is not that I want to be mean, I just want to understand what is going on.
Maybe you could tell us where these graphs come from?
