Who said anything about double the power?
The 9038D and S have the identical output power of 340mW@32ohm.
Thanks for that ... i wasn't aware of that. I stand corrected!

That is a really cool device! So the DC01 is only using 50mA in this image. What is it driving and what is it playing?

EDIT: Just tried the DC01 with my CCA C16 and KZ ZS7 earphones and both have the noise problem. The **** has been my main set of earphones this year and they have great synergy with the DC01, no noise at all and they sound amazing. These things are incredible for their price.

Hidizs Sonata HD II or Meizu HiFi Dac (non pro)? Which is better?

I read that with Meizu is necessary to disable Bit Perfect and enable Upsample in UAPP. Does sound get much worse doing this or is not very relevant?

The sound doesn't change at all with the fix enabled. As for Meizu vs Sonata, Meizu wins easily. It has 100 steps of HW volume control instead of 12 on the Sonata which is laughable. Most importantly though, the Sonata performs a lot worse than what Hidizs claims while the Meizu not only outperforms the Sonata by a landslide, but also outperforms it's official specs.

Cool, thanks! Like I said it has great synergy with the **** as well. Interestingly I don't hear the noise with it, even though it has an impedance of 32 Ohm and sensitivity of 110 dB.

Thank you very much for the info

So when is the 9038D supposed to be available?

I need some experienced advice to know if the Meizu dac "pro" version is a good purchase for my setup.
I plan on using it with a 12.9" ipad pro 2018, sometimes with a Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955F) to get better audio and the following headphones:
- Sony MDR-1A,
- Steelseries Artics 3 wired.

I would use the MDR-1a to enjoy my music library (not online, if it makes any technical difference) and watch some film, then the Artics 3 for chatting while playing the Tencent versions of PUBG and CoD.
Will this Meizu dac-dongle be able to drive the eadphones just fine, while providing full support for mic and volume controls?

Though, i am not sure if the cable i currently use with my MDR-1As, an "MPS X-7" https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32838656050.html is more power-hungry and could make things difficult for the lil' dongle...

Thank you.

hi, you'll probably good with the Meizu HiFi DAC Pro adapter when using the Steelseries Artics 3 headphone, but the "Sony MDR-1A" I'm not sure. Hopefully someone can help you with that.
I will buy this Meizu DAC Pro myself but my headphone is a humble one: Pioneer SE-MJ553BT-R, 40mm driver, frequency range 6 Hz - 40,000Hz, impedance 32 ohms, pretty good sound but nowhere near compared to the headphones you mentioned.
